Congratulations to all players who took part and distinguished themselves at the Lenten Cool Down squash tournament, held at Cascadia Squash Club from March 17-19, 2011. This was an unsponsored competition, with separate Gold and Silver draws for men and women. The Men’s Gold competition was won by John Holley (PaP) from Brandon de Montrichard (Cascadia), with PaP members Peter Pirtheesingh and Jacob Gillezeau (PaP) taking the 3rd and 4th places respectively. The Women’s Gold competition was won by Angelique Jackson (QPCC) from Faith Gillezeau (PaP) 2nd and Cathy de Gannes-Martin (Cascadia) coming in at 3rd place. The Silver competitions were won by Paul de Verteuil (QPCC) and Rhea Yaw Ching (PaP). Leonel Sorillo of Pointe-a-Pierre was awarded a special prize for being the “Most Improved” player at the competition.
The competition was keenly contested, with most matches going the full five games to reach a result. Prizes and competition balls were very kindly donated by Jackson Sports (Thank you Brian Jackson) and Feather Sports.
The next squash competition is the Interclub League which begins this week and a junior competition is also scheduled for mid-April, to be played at Cascadia Squash Club.

TTSA members are invited to attend the Lutchmeesingh’s Transport Caribbean Invitational Squash Tournament at Petrotrin Pointe-a-Pierre Club. Attached is a flyer with more information.
Games will be played on:
Thursday from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm
Friday from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm
Saturday from 9: 00 am to 12:15 pm (Semifinals) and 4:00 – 6:30 pm (Finals)
