On July 2^nd. 2011 the TTSA hosted a Send Off for the Junior National Squash Team, at Cascadia Squash Club, Port of Spain. The squad leaves for Guyana on July 6^th to compete at the XXIX Caribbean Squash Championships, which is being hosted by the Guyana Squash Association. The Trinidad & Tobago contingent is made of 13 team players and one individual, accompanied by Junior National Coach Roger Salandy and Manager Cathy Ann Sample.

At the Send Off, TTSA President Andrew Persad received a sponsorship cheque token for $15,000 from Prestige Holdings mascot Chickee. Prestige Holdings came forward to assist this young team of sports ambassadors and the team proudly displays the company’s logo on their uniforms and bags. The team also received a subsidy from the Ministry of Sport, through a subvention granted to the TTSA for all its 2010/2011 activities.

The Send Off was followed by a Team Meeting and Motivational talk with former T&T squash champion Dirk Prudent, and then on-court squash games with some of the adult players and national team members.
