Welcome to Version 2.0 of the Trinidad & Tobago Squash Association website.

Once again, we've done a little face-lifting, added some new sections as well as build a resource area containing videos, tutorials and rule lists. There's also a discussion board available, allowing you to post questions or just shoot the breeze with other squash players.

Make sure to check back often for news both locally and internationally, and other features appearing in the coming months.

If you have any vids or photos you'd like to see on the site, please email media@squashtt.org for submissions!

MENS SEMIS

T & T def Jamaica 3-2

3 Paul Deverteuil bt Joey Levy 11-5, 11-8, 11-5
4 Ryan Abraham bt Warren Burrowes 11-3, 3-11, 11-2, 11-8
1 Colin Ramasra lost Chris Binnie 3-11, 7-11, 2-11
5 Kale Wilson lost to Bruce Burrowes 6-11, 8-11, 14-12, 11-4, 8-11
2 Don Lee bt Bruce Levy 11-1, 11-3, 11-4

Ramasra vs Binnie

After DeVerteuil and Abraham put the team up 2-0, Ramasra lost in 3 to Binnie for the second time.

Then a determined Burrowes earned himself a 2-0 lead by scrambling for every ball and waiting for Wilson to make a frustrated error. Wilson fought back in the 3rd from 6-2 down to take the 3rd game 14-12 after his 5th game ball.

He crushed a seemingly tired Burrowes in the 4th game and took a 7-4 lead in the 5th before conceding 3 consecutive strokes to level the game at 7-7. Burrowes took command from that point and eventually claimed the match in 5.

It was up to the experienced Don Lee to win the decider and he did so in fine fashion.

The 2 matches that were lost were expected to be the tough matches, but we were pretty confident in claiming wins at #2, 3, and

WOMENS SEMIS

T & T def Guyana 3-2

3 Joanna Scoon def Kayla Jeffrey 13-11, 11-3, 11-4
4 Amy Gillezeau def Victoria Arjoon 11-5, 11-5, 11-8
1 Kerrie Sample lost Nicolette Fernandes 7-11, 3-11, 5-11
5 Nakita Poon Kong w/o
2 Rhea Khan lost Keisha Jeffrey 11-8, 8-11, 11-5, 5-11, 9-11

Guyana had started off at a disadvantage with only 4 players available, so once Scoon and Gillezeau had won the first two ties, T & T had already won the match. Guyana were able to pull back the final two dead matches to save some face. But it was of no consequence.

CASA Finals and Vets Team Results Print E-mail

The Cayman Islands had an ideal start to their Caribbean Championships campaign, with comprehensive victories in all groups. Each team is made up of 5 players. The men won 5-0 against Bermuda, the women won 5-0 against Jamaica and the Vets won 4-1 against Jamaica. Michael Broderick had to withdraw with a hip injury at 1-5 in the 5th in his match after an awkward fall. Let's just hope it's not as bad as brother Jeff's hip troubles!

Full results are below plus match details and photos can be viewed at the world's busiest squash website: www.squashsite.co.uk

There will be team matches tomorrow starting at 11:00, but Cayman has a bye. Our last pool match is tomorrow (Thursday) night at 6:00.
